Why does this scene make me laugh so hard?

Well, I can't sleep. So, I've been watching movies all night. So far, I've watched "Journey to the Center of the Earth", "Airplane", and I am now on "Army of Darkness". I can't find the clip of the other part I like. It's the part where he picks up the Necronomicon and gets attacked by it (for those of you who have seen it).

hey saudade,long time no hear,howdy,..hello wisconsin,yes,its such an odd ball movie,just have to laugh,..i like the part where they chuck him dowm a well,and he finally gets his chain saw for the monster,..,i saw a movie i ended up recording in order to see all of it,.it is beyond funny,,the dewey cox story,let me know ,sincerely james waller
