I know many Australian rabbit lovers who wish they could have a lionhead, me being one of them. How do they become an accepted breed in Australia? Do you have to start a petition, contact your local member, go through a rabbit club. What's the process and is there already something that exists that is trying to get lionhead rabbits here that i could sign up to? I want a holland lop too! >.<

I would love Lion Heads in Australia Too ! :biggrin2:

Australian Government Websites Information associated with bringing a new breed of domesticated animal into Australia. However Rabbits are associated as Pest rather than Domesticated :pssd:

Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry

Australian Quarantine and Inspection Services laws customs legislation

Hope This Helps

I highly doubt they they would introduce another rabbit in to Australia seeing as how big of a pest out here expecially with how much damage they do to the environment. Sorry to put a downer on things but I really don't see it happening no matter how many petitions you sign.
