I have a three year old female dwarf mix that is spayed. She often makes a strange sounds that sounds kind of like grunting. I've noticed sometimes it's because she's annoyed but sometimes she does it whenever i try to play with her or change her water and she's close to me and she might turn to me really fast and makes a grunting sound. What does this mean? Is she annoyed or angry with me? If so is there anything I can do to not anger her as much?

My rabbits used to do that when I would go to pick them up, but now (I hold them nearly every day) and they haven't done it since. If your bun is grunting over being picked up or other things, just try to spend more time with him/her.

Most common reason in does is in season or pregnancy. None of my does do this unless in kit or have kits in the nest. My bucks never grunt.
