What breed is this and what would the color be called?

I'm new to rabbits and slowly learning breeds and coat colors. Can you tell me what this guy might be and how you arrived at that guess? I know a lot of the nuance is just experience and can be harder to describe.

It looks like a Standard Chinchilla rabbit❤ How big is he? Might be a giant. Gary's mom looked a lot like this. Also, are you 100% sure he is male? I ask because of his dewlap.

He's big, like 3 times the size of my lionhead. I'm assuming they guessed right on male, I personally have not looked but he was neutered yesterday, so I hope they got it right! LOL. He was a stray turned into animal control and is now being fostered by me for a rabbit rescue, so I've got no background. I'm probably going to have many more like that dropped at my doorstep and want to get better at educated guesses myself.

The color is chinchilla
He is most likely a mixed breed if you don't have a pedigree on him, but he probably could fit the description of an American Chinchilla pretty well

Looks just like our big boy Peter--he was just under 10 pounds and a world class jumper. Got up on a 32 inch high counter and had his way with my stereo.
