Hello!

As I may be able to get a second rabbit soon, I'm interested in knowing how you bonded your buns! I know that there's a lot of methods out there, and I don't really know how I'm going to go through with it because I don't know which method will work best. :)

Also, Odyssey is a spayed female, about 2 years old. Most of the males in the shelters are already neutured and about a year younger than Odyssey. If I'm not mistaken, the age won't matter, correct?

Thank you!

I tried bonding my boys with short dates on neutral territory, hour or two at a time until they sorted it out, then went to the submissive boy's area to continue until they were fully bonded. Not waiting 2 months after his neuter set stuff back for a bit. After moving their frail bond shattered and they were never rebonded.
With the current established pair, I went with ''see me, can't touch me'' and ''this ain't my home but i'll live here'' (living side by side and base swap) for roughly half a month and then neutral territory mid-length dates ( 2-5hrs in a row per day) until no disputes occurred, then moved to the big enclosure to continue with overnight immersion bonding until stuff had settled.
I wrote about my experience here: Bonding vol 2

Love at first sight. I no longer care for the stress of complicated bonds. Age doesn't usually matter, it's the compatability of personalities(dominant paired with subordinate). Though a really young and active rabbit paired with a really old sedate or cranky rabbit, could possibly cause issues.
