So, this may sound like a dumb question, but do only rex's have the velvety fur? My little bun (as he shall henceforth be known as, until we name him) has the really short velvety fur and long ears that stick up. Is he a rex? How big do mini rex's grow? He's really small right now - not surprising considering what he's been through - but what kind of size can we expect him to grow? Thank you, in advance, for your help :)
Yep he sounds like a rex.:DI'm not sure about the sizes for mini rexes but you can also get standard rexes which I have so they can get quite big!;)

Only rexes have rex fur, yes. However, he could be a mix between a few breeds and have gotten the rex fur. If he is, however, a purebred, he'll stay quite small if he's a mini rex. The largest he'll get is about four pounds. If he's a standard rex, he'll probably end up being around eight pounds, which is not huge, but definitely not tiny, either. One way to tell if he's a standard or a mini is the ears. If he's a mini, his ears will be pretty short, even if he's a baby. If he's a standard, his ears will probably look awkward or too large for his body, because he has yet to grow into them :D
