So my rabbit has had a couple of cat condos (those carpeted hideouts). He likes them to sit in and sometimes dig in.

Well today I discovered blood on the floor and giant gash in his leg. Even the vet had a difficult time getting the bleeding to stop and had to keep him all day.

What happened? My rabbit dug into the condo exposing nails in the back. They were very sharp to the touch so he must have struck one hard.

Needless to say, he won't be getting anymore cat condos and I wanted to warn the community before someone else has an injured bunny and a vet bill.

Take care!

You could build it yourself and make it "proof by stapling the carpet on the back side of the board and putting another board over it using screws facing inward. Had a large dog named Dogzilla and he lived up to his name, so anything with carpet had to be constructed a lot better than anything made commercially.
