The Flemish Giants I will be getting are spayed and neutered. I am worried that because they are altered, I won't be able to show them. Can you show an altered rabbit? If so, what classes and etc.?

I was thinking as a Showmanship rabbit. But I really need to know.

Thanks in advance!!

We had a pretty good discussion about this not too long ago... Click here to read it...

Basicly, no you can't show an altered rabbit in ARBA sanctiond shows... they can be shown in some 4-H and pet shows... But they don't have to be shown to be "Blue Ribbon" Companions!

I'm reading the thread now.

So....you can't show the rabbit even if they are judging you? As in showmanship?

Showmanship is usually run by the local 4-H...and the rules vary by county. You'll need to ask your local extension agent or 4-H leader to get the rules for your county. Some of them do allow altered and even mix breed rabbits in Showmanship.
