I have a 5 month old male Flemish Giant who started biting about 2 weeks ago. Prior to that he was a very friendly, inquisitive rabbit. About 2 weeks ago he started trying to nip my hands when I replaced his water or gave him food. It has since progressed to lunging and biting every time I am within his reach. If I let him out of the cage, he chases me and lunges and bites. I have to throw a towel over him and wear gloves just to put him back in the cage. These are not little nips anymore, either. I've had to have stitches 3 times from him biting and shaking my hands and arm. I'm willing to get him neutered, but is there any hope that he will ever be a trustworthy rabbit again? At this point, I can't touch him or pet him, and I have to use pliers to open his cage since he will try to grab my fingers through the bars. I've never seen any domesticated animal act this aggressively. I just want to be able to enjoy my pet rabbit again.
