UK members - BRC Rung?

I have had a look around, even on the BRC siteand I can't find out what it means if your rabbit is BRC rung. Cansomeone clear this up for me?

It's a metal ring, used to identify a rabbit, and is placed around the hind leg.

In the US, we used a permanent tattoo in the rabbit's left ear to identify it.

So the ring it's self does not mean that the rabbit has pure breedparents or anything like that? It is just an identification tag?

I believe it is just an identification tag, but I am not familiar with their registration system.
