We got a new bunny today. MyKenzi was still pretty pitiful this morning after Mystie dying last night. We went to a Pet store to get some food for my dog, and they had rabbits. I know that petstore rabbits don&#39;t have the best reputation, but she fell in love with this baby. I researched this morning and couldn&#39;t find any breeders in my area, and couldn&#39;t find any.We named him Pepper. Does anyone know what breed he might be? He&#39;s very friendly and will sit in my lap to be petted. I look forward to getting to know everyone here.[IMG<WBR>]http://img.photobucket.com<WBR>/albums/v28/alleigh826/100<WBR>_0973.jpg[/IMG]

Welcome to RO:wave:, it&#39;s been a real bittersweet few days for you I guess.:hug2:

Pepper is beautiful, I love black rabbits:inlove: (as you can probably tell lol), one ear up and one ear down!!:colors: Is it always like that or just in the picture?

Don&#39;t know about possible breeds, you&#39;d be better asking in the rabbitry for that:D

CUTE!!! Pepper&#39;s GORGEOUS!!

Any ideas on age or gender?

So...

Welcome to RO!! I can&#39;t wait to hear all about your gorgeous baby! :)

Your kids are adorable, too! :D

I got my TinkleBunny at a pet store and she is almost a year old now. The only problem I had with the pet store it the staff only knew that she was a rabbit, that is it. No idea about sex, breed, anything. This bunny looks older than Mystie, so you know that you are off to a much better start. I would ask the rabbitry about the breed, they figured out from a few photos that I have a Chinchilla Satin, who knew!

Good luck with your new little one, and I am sorry that you lost your Mystie. It is weird how quickly we fall in love with animals. It is always hard to lose one, especially one so young.

Best wishes, and can&#39;t wait to seemore photos!

oh, he is so cute. . .i too have a love for black buns.. . they are the best!

i would guess that he is a lop mix possibly a holland lop mix, or a mini lop mix. . .only time will tell if he will have upright ears, helicopter ears, or lop ears. . .but none the less totally adorable!

Pepper is adorable! Im so happy you were able to find another bunny to bring home and love.

One thing I would be sure to do is find out what kind of pellets he was being fed at the pet store. Use those pellets for now. If they are crappy pellets (have colored stuff mixed in, etc, you will want to gradually switch him over to healthy pellet). Any Timothy Hay pellet is good for bunnies. And you&#39;ll want him to have unlimited hay. I would also wait and not give him any veggies or fruit yet. Let him get settled..this will help prevent any GI problems that can come with being in a new home. Heres the link to our feeding Q&A. http://www.rabbitsonline.net/view_topic.php?id=16340&forum_id=1[/url"]http://www.rabbitsonline.net<WBR>/view_topic.php?id=16340&amp<WBR>;forum_id=1]http://www.rabbits<WBR>-forums.com/view_topic.php?id<WBR>=16340&forum_id=1

Good Luck!

Oh, and your kids are adorable!!
