Hi Everyone,

We have adopted a rabbit into our home, we found him running on the road a couple of weeks ago, and his owners didnt want him anymore.

He's a pretty cool wee guy, and we are learning as we go, but I have loads of questions, so will ask them in the other areas of the forum.

We have named him Nuget, and he is a Lop (maybe a mini??) and apparently 3 months old. We are trying to litter train at the mo, but his fav spot is the couch so we have a bit of work to do. He loves company, and sits at my side all day, so we are looking into getting him a girlfriend once he has been fixed - so there will be lots of questions there

I look forward to learning from you all :)

Hi and welcome to RO! Our library is getting a bit outdated but does still have a lot of good general information that might help you get started.

One tip, we love pictures!

Welcome to the forum. I would keep him a bit confined until he is litter box trained and knows the house. We just blocked off part of our bedroom and then made the area bigger and bigger as Benjamin became more litter trained. He too liked the couch at first. Put some hay in his thoughtful place or a hay rack right beside his litter box. Most rabbit like to nibble and use the loo at the same time. Looking forward to photos.

hey welcome to the forum! im glad to hear that you adopted a bunny and are planning to get him fixed. i have a female mini rex named gizmo. i was new to rabbits a few years ago but dont worry-your bun will teach you fast. i just have one important thing to say. since you are new to the rabbit world this is good to know. many things are not good for rabbits-obviously, but some things are ok. gizmo loves banana...but hte rule i live by is if you doubt it dont use it. dont use anything around your rabbit if you are unsure about whether its safe...better to be safe than sorry. good luck with your new bun! happy hopping:biggrin2:

The Let Your Hare Down section is for anything non-bunny related.
