Yesterday I bought it. I don't know what sex it is quite yet.

I bought it at a pet store. The litter just arrived at the pet store two days ago.

It is a mini something lop. It is super cute brown baby bunny.

It's too soon to take pictures but pictures will come.

Today, I named it PEANUT.

Tell us what you did for your rabbit today.

First off, congratulations on your New Bunny. Cute name. Can't wait to see pics.

Anyway, where do I begin. Started out with a sweet greeting from all 4 boys. They have been out and about all morning getting exercise. Pretty soon my husband will be getting their veggies and fruit together for the morning breakfast.

Pretty soon the little one, Neville will have his first big boy run. Then the grooming session.

All have had their water changed with the ACV in it, their pellets and also little bit of picking up in their crates. And they will go back to their crates and rearrange it back. It's something we do every morning. lol

Plus lots of bunny hugs and kisses every morning. It's the best way to start our day.

K :)

Just finished my first bonding session with Peanut.

I just held it inside a towel on my chest and caressed it.

It was very tame. Still session only lasted five minutes.

Yesterday, before I bought it , I was allowed to go into a cubicle alone with it. I noticed it was very tame.

Heading of to a good start. *Knock on wood*

Last night was their first night to free roam the bedrooms (separate bedrooms, as they are not yet bonded.) I got up early this morning to check on how they were doing and they seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Replaced their water and food, and petted them goodbye before I headed off to work.

Congrats on your new bun! Looking forward to pics!

This morning I wished Mocha good morning and she ran over for her morning head rub. Then she ran around the bathroom while I got ready to go out. Later she ran around the bed while I did her "big Sunday" cleaning of her pen. Right now she is sleeping on her hammock. I did buy her some fresh veggies while I was out and she will be getting those in a little bit.

!!!!! Celebration!!!!!

Today is the third day I had Peanut.

Today is the first day Peanut peed in it's litter pan.

The first day it peed in its food bowl. I made it so it cannot jump into to the food bowl anymore but still get access to its food.

The second day it like to pee on the left side of the cage . The litter pan was on the right side of the cage.

Today, I put the litter pan on the right side of the cage and Peanut peed in it.

Yay!!!!!!!!

Just like Larry, I fed mine (twice) cleaned the litter boxes., gave them treats, turned the radio on for them (yes I keep the radio on during the day for them).

Let them to outplay, gave them twigs to chew.

Oh the life of my Bunnies.

Susan:)

Today, I took Peanut out of it's cage several times (five minutes a time) to pet and stroke Peanut.

It seems to be getting more and more comfortable with my touch.

In the cage Peanut seems very very relaxed , mellow and comfortable. Often I catch Peanut in a resting position.

Today, I noticed that Peanut behaved for 24 hours and didn't pee outside it's litter box.

Right now, Peanut is tearing up and playing with the newspaper I put in its cage.

Glad to hear that Peanut is doing well. But at 10 weeks you should know if Peanut is a he or she. I just hate to hear "it". Maybe you can get a Rabbit Savy person or Vet to tell you whether it's a he or she.

K :)

Well, since I couldnt go back to sleep after my husband left for work, I made myself an egg sandwich and got a bowl for Olivia and put cilantro and a few pieces of apple in it. Me and her sat in my bed and ate breakfast together and are now watching Lifetime!

Peanut is SO CUTE! :inlove:

I agree, I cringe at hearing "it". You can also post pictures here and people can help.

Mornings are a little chaotic around my house because I'm not a morning person. The kids get pellets and oats with a quick check everyone is ok then I'm out the door. I have the rest of the kids to feed too (gerbils, cats, birds, turtles, fish). I leave music on for them during the day so they don't get lonely. Evenings they each get one on one time.

Lately I have been spending lots of time with Cinderella getting her over her ear infection. She gets medicine, a massage, and canned pumpkin while we snuggle and watch some tv (she likes romance and comidy). Everyone gets salads for dinner and water dishes changed.

I have also started volunteering at the SPCA so I stop there to bring greens and attention to the buns on my way home. Fiona has stolen my heart, she's misunderstood. She's a hormonal girl labeled as aggressive. I'm trying to get her spayed because she is good as gold out side of her cage. I also read to them and they seem to enjoy it.

From now on I'm going to refer to Peanut as a "he".

I would like to know what sex Peanut is but I'm not willing to

1) Go to the vet just to find out Peanut's sex.
(Peanut will get medical attention if he needs it. Bagel, my dearly deceased rabbit, had $1,200 dollar vet bill in roughly four years)

2) Take Peanut to some rabbit savvy person. (It would stress Peanut out unneccesarily.)

3) I'm not willing to take picutures or videos of my rabbit's nether region (cuz people will accuse me of being a pervert)

With that being said, Peanut and I had a half hour cuddling and bonding session today. Peanut is surrending when I'm cuddling him.

ROFL your reason 3 made me laugh so hard. Given time if he is a he it will become obvious. Just keep in mind that rabbits are the only mammals that have testicles in front of the penis rather than behind. They are more tucked up against their belly. You can see them at 6 months +/-.

There is another thread sort of recently that is asking about geners that was referred to (as a joke) as bunny porn, so you would not be the first. :p

Peanut will have you saying and doing all sorts of crazy things you never thought possible. One that came up for me recently was "Now Gary, I just washed my slippers and made them smell good again. No more humping my feet." Silly me never thought I would have that issue. Thank goodness he's neutered now! :)

Today Peanut and I had a half hour cuddling bonding session.

Today I 100% sure that Peanut was grinding his teeth in pleasure as I was cuddling him . Yesterday I noticed something that sounded teeth grinding but I wasn't sure.

Peanut is very very relaxed when I'm cuddling him. :)

Today is the first day I went to the pet store to buy Peanut a food bowl.

It has been over a month since I lost Bagel.(my last bunny) I haven't been to the pet store in over a month.

I've had Peanut for five days now and didn't have to do no shopping-cuz Peanut got all of Bagel's hand me downs.

Shopping for a food bowl for Peanut was tricky cuz

1) if the food bowl is big enough Peanut will jump inside and go pee in it.

2) Peanut likes to push food out of the food bowl for fun.

I got a bowl that solved both problems and Peanut still gave Peanut easy acess to food.
