While the bunnies where old enough to survive ontheir own (By 2 weeks, they are eating solid foods), the stress factorsthey had been subjected to were overwhelming and led to diseasesuseptability. In some states (such as my home state of PA),it is illegal to sell bunnies under 8 weeks of age. Theyounger the bunny, the higher the mortality rate when subjected to thestresses of change of food, change of environment, exposure todifferent pathogens, change of temperature, over handling, etc.
