DO NOT HEAT FLUIDS (OR FORMULA) IN A MICROWAVE. I can't believe a vet would say that. Microwaves do not heat things evenly. The best way to warm fluids is a commercially available fluid warmer.....ambulance crews have them. A "poor man's" warmer is wrapping the fluids inside a heating pad on lowest setting. We also run the tube thru a bowl of warm water. Keep in mind that room temperature fluids can be used to manage a fever....just as warm fluids help manage hypothermia.
