At this point, we're excited and busy preparing new hutches. Some will be outdoors and some indoors. The outside hutches are weather-proofed and our friend who is a carpenter is building them ; while the indoor hutches (8) are the largest size "My First Homes" from PetSmart - - -we'll be buying a few more to fill up the empty room. It used to be my computer/craft/sewing room....no more !
We will be going to the ARBA nationals to buy the foundation stock.Right now, I'm interested in ND's, JW's, and of course Lionheads .
As there are 3 different breeds; we're not sure what to call our rabbitry....any suggestions ?? My husband suggested Heinz57 Buns; but that sounds like mutts !
I posted in another thread about Em. and Tigger; and their new owner has already called her vet about Tigger's spay.....Em. has been spayed with no complications other than biting my husband when he went to pick her up and place her in the travel cage.:rollseyes Em. and Tigger will be housed separately until - - - or if they bond . Each one has her own NIC-style cage and more room than either one had before. ( Lucky girls....I like it when a bun is successfully re-homed , it just takes time and patience. ) Their new owner wants to re-name them ; she says Tigger is inappropriate for such a small, gentle bun. She's right !
I'm open to any help with naming our rabbitry; yes, I'm saying "ours" although I'll be doing most of the work - - what with raising buns, traveling, showing, ect.
