Hi,
We noticed, while petting him, that Franky has some crusts in his ear (on the inside). Do you know what these are? He's also scratching his ear more often than usual. So something is definitely going on.
Do you you have any idea what it is?
Should we go to the vet or is this gonna pass by itself?
Thanks in advance for your advice,
Julie

Okay, after some googling I think it might be ear mite (early stage) and I booked an appointment with the vet.
I'll keep you up to date with further developments if anyone's curious!

I would agree that it could be the beginning of ear mites.
Revolution (Selamectin) is one of the best options for this. Typically a few doses to ensure it doesn't come back. Bunnies should be dosed at 18mg/kg

Hey Watermelons, thanks for your answer.
The vet took a sample of the crust, looked at it with his microscope and concluded it was just a scratch, not ear mites. He did give 'm some antibiotics and a anti-parasite thingy..
I hope it's indeed not mites! I'm still gonna keep an eye on it, but he's supposed to be a rodent expert, so he's probably right :)
