Sleeping in toilet...

So our rabbit Oreo has many nice places to lounge but it seems he prefers to lie and sleep in his toilet. Does any one else's rabbit do this? Or even know why he likes it? View attachment ImageUploadedByRabbit Forum1465127590.867351.jpg

The litterbox smells strongly like himself (well, his urine mostly ^^') so it has a calming effect on him. A lot of rabbits will go in their litterbox when they feel unwell or threatened, some just feel generally good being in an area which is unmistakingly theirs by rabbit's standard. If he acts normally it's nothing to worry about, just make sure it's clean and check both the rabbit's bum and the toilet area for maggots everyday as the temperature are rising again (well, hopefully ^^).

One suggestion I've always heard is to put another liter box in there, but with bedding instead for him to lay in. He may just like the shape or whatever too. Or he could just ignore it, like Aki said, because it doesn't smell as strongly of him.
