My lactating bunny (third litter) has pulled out fur to an extent that the skin is visible. I looked closely and it felt like the redness was not normal. Dad said it might be fungal infection (he is a pharmacist). So, we put some cotrimazole cream and also dusted some cotrimazole powder. The problem is she is grooming herself and we can't keep her from licking the place.
Question: Is cotrimazole safe for lactating rabbits if ingested? And for the kits?
