I have a Mini Rex that gave birth to one kit this morning. Mom and baby are currently outdoors but I'm worried that a single kit might get too cold at night time, should I move them indoors? Currently the weather is in the high fifties at night and getting up to as high as 80 during the day, so fairly mild, but the kit doesn't have any litter mates to snuggle with. The kit is nested in hay and the mom's fur. Thanks for any help!

You can also try just bringing the nextbox inside at night until the kit gets fur.

Yes you could just bring the nestbox in at night. We’ve had litters of single kits and haven’t really had a problem as long as they have plenty of hay and moms hair to keep them warm in. Does are usually good about covering the kits up after they nurse at night.
