So pleased she´s come through it OK. It is such a relief when you go back to collect them and they look so happy to see you and you see that they are fine. I remember having my three done at the same time and I´ve never been so glad to see them as I was when I went back to the vets. They did great and bounced back really quickly with no problems. I am still so glad I had them neutered and I think the benefits far outweigh the risks.

Keep us posted of her recovery.

i was freaking out my rabbit neutered but the vet who did it doesnt put them under, instead they use a type of aenesthisia thats in a mask and local numbing. so then he wakes up as soon as the mask is off. she used it because bunnies metabolism move so fast that the numbing wears off quickly which makes them have to give them much more of it. which causes a lot of issues. he came out of the surgery just fine and was back to his self real quick!:)
maybe just having the vet talk you through whats going to happen will help you feel better about it. i know it helped me (maybe its because im going to school for this so im super interested in how they do it but it helped me feel secure when i knew she knew what she was doing)

She spent the night in the meatloaf position in her litter tray, was a bit worried...she was eating. Finally got some sleep, then today she was doing flops and hopping about. Wound site looks ok. She was under the anesthetic for a while and apparently lost a bit of.blood because she was in heat! When I picked her up she couldn't stand! She could only lift her head up because she was so dopey! Poor baby. I feel like this evil person taking away her female bits, but know its for the best :). you guys have all been so supportive !. :)

I found a specialist rabbit vet in our area, we have two mini breeds and they were successfully desexed. They did say the smaller the harder the surgery. The female wasn't eating as well as we would have liked so we took her back to the vet and they gave her critical care. We tried to give it to her but she was a handful. The specialists said that the only bunnies they lose are ones that are already sick and ones that are too old. They shouldn't really be getting desexed if this is the case ( bit hard if you don't know however).
