Sammy LOVES going to the puppy park for a good run around with other dogs. We don't have a fenced in yard nor do we have another dog, so going to the puppy park is a really good thing for him. Our friends, Wes and Bri, have a Boston Terrier pup named "Honzo" that Sammy loves hanging out with.

Seeing Sammy with other dogs makes both Ryan and I feel bad that he doesn't have a brother or a sister, but right now is not the right time for another dog. We think in 2-3 years, Sammy can have another dog. He seems to really likes Dachshunds or other Dachshund mixes....or really BIG dogs (you will see what I mean!). Ryan and I want to add in a Doxie or a Doxie mix in the future....but Sammy will be the one picking out a dog to adopt, not us :p.

The little Chihuahua/Min Pin mix girl named "Mona" that Sammy showed no interest in. He didn't want to play in the small dog section with the other little Chihuahua type dogs, either. The whole time he ran the fence wanting to go back with the big dogs!

Sammy really liked this BC girl, too, because she kept crawling up on him, lol!

This is what I mean about Sammy loving big dogs. I think this dog was some sort of Shepherd/Great Dane mix. He LOVED this big guy and tried so hard to keep up with him. The big dog didn't really show much interest in Sammy, but Sammy was like IN LOVE. Sammy even had to stand up as tall as he could to stiff this dog's butt...hahahahaha!

"Puppy Park" ... what a great idea. What's the yellow thing that dog's standing in?

What rules are there in the Puppy Park?
The yellow thing was a tunnel that the dogs can run through :p. A "dog park"'s rules are what I am unaware of. I honestly haven't read the rule sign. I'd guess it is all stuff like...clean up after your dog, don't leave them unsupervised, if your dog bites another dog you are responsible, ect.

Typically the rules also state shots that your dog SHOULD have but they obviously have no way of requiring them, so for your safety try and get as many as you can since other dogs there might be carriers. I work at a place that had a doggy daycare as well, but since we have people working in the daycare they are able to make sure all dogs are spayed/neutered and up to date on shots. You really don't need your dog spayed/neutered to go to a doggy park but if a female isn't spayed and she's in heat, you might want to stay away. The scent tends to make males act rather aggressive towards other dogs, not to mention she will be humped and might get annoyed herself ;). Like Amy said, most the rules are just on cleaning up after your dog and being help responsible for your dog's actions. They normally are only open during the day, though some have lights so you can go at night as well.

I really suggest going to dog parks for any puppy! It helps socialize them and I have yet to meet a dog that really doesn't like it :)!

REALLY cute pictures Amy! I love when smaller dogs like big dogs..they tend to think they are one themselves ;). *steals Sammy*
