Peg, don't blame yourself! While it's possible that she was failing to thrive a bit and that complicated things, remember that mucoid enteritis has a very high fatality rate even with babies that were perfectly healthy before. It sounds to me like you did everything you possibly could. And while I'm always encouraging people with Dora's survival, I did lose her sibling Gir to the same thing. I just don't mention that part while someone is stressing over their sickly baby.
