Hi....

We are breeding Dwarf Lop Rabbits and have just really started!!!..
We have a REW that last wk had 4 adorable kits....

So far they all look like they are going to be REW's them selves..

The dad is a broken tort...

My question is, as much as I love REW's , do they just have REW babies?, or would her next litter have some colour???

If the sire is broken tort and the mother carried shaded some of the babies may be sable point or broken sable point. If they are all rew it is just by chance that they all got the gene from their sire. Rew is recessive so both parents have to be or carry the gene.

So, you should not always get rew if one of the parents is not a rew.
