Hi --

I have a question. Winston is occasionally sounding slightly congested,and his normal sniffing is not wet but is kind of loud. Is this causefor concern?

It may or may not be. Some rabbits maybe more prone to sounding like that due to the shape of their head orthe construction of their nasal passages. Overweight rabbitsand older rabbits may be more likely to make that sound also.

It's possible the sound is a symptom of a pathogen or reaction to an allergen.

Extensive testing may reveal the cause, or you can just keep an eye on him for the symptoms worsening.
