Rehome - Special needs - Southern California

I came accross this posting this morning on Freecycle. I am very disturbed with what initialy happened to these two, and do not know the full story behind it. If anyone can help, I am willing to help with transport.

"Thumper and Pigee (Handicapped). Thumper is a fluffy black bunny, Pigee
is a 2 year old piegeon. They seemed to have fallen in love with each
other. Pigee built a house of grass for Thumper, and even nest on a
golf ball in hopes that some day to have a family, Pigee can not fly,
because cats damaged his wing when he was a baby. The Dogs chewed
Thumper's back when he was a baby. You see these 2 boys fell in love
and didn't seem to reconnized the difference. So they live in a large
cage together happy, joyful and bringing many laughs to our family
everyday. And maybe yours.... Need a wonderful caring human family to
