Lastnight on tv it came across the bottom of the screem that Romaine lettuce being sold under Imperial and another name has been recalled.
I had been feeding some of theImperial brand as part of my inside rabbits' diet and lostmany baby rabbits the last two weeks, including one adult rabbit. A rabbit would act ill or die and I would stop all veg and pellets. Everyone would seem ok for a day or two soI would start it back and then two would drop, stop and everyone seem fine so restart and would lose another. I thought it was pasteurella but now it seems this may be the cause. NONE of the outside rabbits were dying or ill - none of them where getting anything but hay, pellets and fresh picked wild weeds/grass.
It says the recall is for the east, which is where I am. So I urge everyone who feeds romaine to look into it! I do not want anyone else losing bunnies!
