Does anyone know much about these homing/racingpigeons whatever they are called? We found one inbetween our sheds, itdon't seem injured or anything. Shaun has put it in a cage and fed itbut we don't know what to do with it now. Do we just release it orcontact anyone, it doesn't seem to want to go

Does it have a band around it's leg? if not thenit is just a pigoen gone wild. If it does have a band then just offerit some water and food if you have and it should go when it's readyunless it is lost. The band will contain info but I don't remember howto read it. The info should be numbers and letters

Thanks we have found the owner, his number wasprinted on the birds wing and he was so pleased to be reunited with it.He says he was worried about sparrow hawks cos another one of hispigeons had been attacked and the one we returned to him was his prizechampion that had won loads of races

We have had one turn up once.

Personally I would of just left it, in time it would fly backhome. They are very clever animals when it comes to findingtheir way.

The one we found stayed for about 3 days. We left food and water out for it, and it just flew away at its own accord.

Obviously if it doesnt leave, then you should check the number on its ring out.

Good luck with it!

We called ours Percy Pigeon :D
