Hi i am writing in here as i have been to the vets with my baby bella who is 26 weeks old, we noticed she has a few red spots on her eye it doesn't bother her at all but the vet doesnt know what it is so we are going to vet hospital so an eye experts can see her but thought i would try here as it is 200 pound just for the appointment not including treatment. I have attached a picture, hopefully someone on here as seen this. thank you in advance she is my wee baby i have already lost a rabbit this year and i will be heartbroken if it is anything serious but i always think the worst. On the photo it is the red spots just on her iris.

It's hard to tell from the photo, but it could be e. cuniculi induced uveitis, which is a protozoal parasite that gets in the eye and causes rupture of the lens capsule resulting in the granuloma/inflammation. If this is what your rabbit has, I believe any knowledgeable rabbit vet should know how to treat it correctly, at least initially, with panacur(fenbendazole) oral dewormer and the appropriate eye drop. I believe in the UK it is also an option if your vet is a member of the rwaf, to consult with their rabbit specialist Richard Saunders. It's only when the initial treatment isn't successful and there are still problems with the eye, that you may need to see a specialist. These links have pictures you can compare to, as well as treatment info.

If you aren't sure if your vet is rabbit savvy, you can try and find a knowledgeable rabbit vet on one of these lists.
