Hi, I'm caring for a friends rabbit as they can't have him where they are currently living, she is a medium sized lop, fairly old 5 or 6 is a guess but must be near that age. Her back leg sticks out side ways and drags behind. Seems there may be a break in femur. My friend says this happened about 3 months ago. She gets around ok and is eating and drinking and friendly but isn't used to being held. I can get her to the vet monday but what are the chances of anything being done to help after so long. Money is also an issue- the rabbit isn't insured.

If money weren't an issue, chances are a surgeon could fix it like there was nothing wrong! I can't say that for sure, but many breaks like that can have a very good recovery. However, with money being an issue, I'd say you just have to wait and see what you can afford as compared to what can be done.
