Hi

I havetwo rabbits, both of them have been eating well and appear to be in good health. This afternoon when i was feeding my female I noticed blood inher cage, after looking at her some more she has torn out four of her front nails.

She is 10 months old, we feed Purina Rabbit chow and also feed mixed greens and veggies.

Her behaviors is normal for her.

Any guidance is appreciated.

Are you sure that she tore them out, and that they didn't get stuck on something and tear out? The first thing I would do is cut the remaining nails to a good length, in case she's trying to chew them down because they're too long. For the bleeding, put some flour or cornstarch on there.

What is their housing like? I wonder how a bun could tear out 4 nails at once. Caught on something comes to mind. Anything like that may have happened?

Welcome to the forum by the way! How is it going?;)
