Just putting it out there to see if anyone has had a bun present with fluid build up on chest and abdomen. My boys been in the vet for a few days sue to him losing his appetite and heavily breathing. His lungs are good. And a heart specialist checked his heart today and that is also fine. My vet has been back and forth discussing his symptoms with a specialist on the mainland and they are unsure too. So as a last ditch effort I thought I'd see if anyone else has had this problem or simular. Thanks

Fluid on the chest? Congestive heart failure would have been my first guess. Has the vet done a blood test to check liver and kidney function? What about an EC titer? EC can cause all sorts of organ disfunction.

Liver is struggling a bit. Heart and lungs seem fine. There was a slight peek in bloods that showed possible infection maybe from a recent tooth removal a week ago? Having a specialist ultrasound this afternoon.

UPDATE:
My vet decided to shave my Baloos belly for easier viewing (he is a very fluffy cashmere) and discovered a number of nodules along his belly. She has advice me that they are more then likely the source of his fluid build up and his poor liver function 💔

Did the vet mention what might be causing these nodules?
Basically with all other symptoms (loss of appetite, weight loss, lethargy, and the fluid build up/struggling liver) she suggested that it was cancer 😔 He had a big day of being poked and prodded, have been given a diuretic to be given daily over the weekend and have to water down the critical care so he doesn't become to dehydrated
