Rabbit Has A Nick On Him

So, yesterday I went to get my rabbit out of his cage, and I found a nick on his nose that wasn't there when I put him up yesterday. I don't think it could have been from his cage, but I did find part of an uneaten waffle near the bars that my brother had put in there. Any ideas on what it could be and how to treat it? I'll post pictures later.

It could be a lot of things. I have noticed my rabbits having a red mark on their noses before and I could never figure out where it came from. Is it a big nick? I usually just leave my rabbits a lone. We have had some shelter buns nip the others nose also and if it is small, we just leave it alone.

usually, we make sure it's clean and put a small amount of the plain Neosporin on it.
