Rabbits are one of the most misunderstood and mysterious creatures on earth. Classified as both pets and livestock, rabbits are farmed, experimented on, eaten, worn, or made into lucky charms. Yet domestic rabbits easily bond with humans and other animals and can live happily for ten years or more when given proper care, housing and attention. Unfortunately, like other companion animals, they are too often discarded by irresponsible owners. Thousands of rabbits are euthanized at animal shelters each year. Untold others are thoughtlessly released outdoors with no chance for survival.
RabbitEARS proudly donates $1 for each bag of these coffees to domestic rabbit rescue and wild rabbit sanctuary. Developed in partnership with Thanksgiving Coffee Company, this coffee celebrates House Rabbit Societyâs 20 Years and 20,000 rabbits rescued. HRS is an independent, nonprofit organization whose mission is to rescue rabbits from animal shelters and educate the public on rabbit care and behavior.
