So I need some help and support....I took my two female rabbits to get spayed on Saturday April 21st. Sully is doing really well but Drake Died in the middle of the night last night.
Drake Was showing improvement on Monday and Tuesday morning but on Tuesday afternoon she stopped eating. I tried everything then took her to the vet on wednesday. (btw She was spayed at a low cost program that does not do follow up appts so we saw a different vet for follow up.) Vet said she looked and felt fine. She gave us some more pain meds, some formula and an oral syringe to feed her. Unfortunalty she died in the middle of the night last night.
Anyone here lose a rabbit to a spay or neuter? Should I try to contact the vet who performed the surgery and let her know? Ask if there were any complications?
I feel so bad bc I thought I was doing the best thing I could for them bc the clinic I took them to has so much experience.
