I know this has probably been answered time and time again, but I'm wondering about the frequency of feedings. So far I've been feeding Neville pellets once in the morning and once in the evening. And I was going to give him a steady supply of Alfalfa, but then I read this:

http://www.bio.miami.edu/hare/diet.html

It says that alfalfa is too rich in calcium and protein?? The clerk at the pet store (who told me she's had several bunnies) told me that baby buns should start with Alfalfa then move up to Timothy hay after 2 months (Neville is a month and a half)

I'm trying to avoid obesity at all costs, taking him out of his cage to let him run around often. I'm just very confused about the feeding! Help!! :bunny18

Young bunnies should be free fed and given alfalfa til six months, when they are finished with rapid growth and no longer need the higher protein and calcium and calories.
