I've heard lots of good stuff about using expens as cages. Some rabbits are able to get out, but I'veseen people who attach old bedsheets and such over the tops whenthey're gone if they have escape artists. You can also buytaller ones made for bigger dogs.

My buns live in pens made out of wire shelving grids. Thismay be another good option for you. You can get them fromShopko, Target, Bed, Bath, and Beyond, etc. One of my buns isa very good jumper, plus I wanted to have shelves to jump on in thepen, so I made them three grids tall. Each grid is about 14inches, so that makes it 42" tall.

Here's some more articles on ex pens, if you're interested:

You might also be able to find one at a garage sale or in your newspaper's classified ads.

I used a pen like that for mine. One of my threecould get out by jumping on the cage I had in there for the litter pan.The other two didn't bother. I saw Foster actually climb the side once.So it depends on how determined your lil bunny is... lol.

My two girls live in an ex-pen. Ibought extra panels and made the pen 5' x 8'. It sits on apiece of commercial grade carpet I got at Walmart for $20.I've never have a problem with them escaping the pen.

Misty could get out of an Xpen since she was 3months old - I never did figure out how she does it - probably climbedup and out. It's possible, but not all bunnies will attemptit.

Oh my...YES!!

I have a couple of buns that could clear 3 feet+from a stand-still.

I don't worry too much inside, but outside I wouldn't take a chance.

I bought the same one in a pet store (mine is only 24"H). They sell covers/sunscreens for it.

Thanks for all the replies everyone! Naturestee-thanks for the articles, I wanted to read more about them.:woohooIthink I'll go for a taller one, or put a lid on it if they really wantout; Ithink they could if they set their minds to it, andApollo doesn't like being confined to one space, no matter howbig/comfortable it is.
