I like it...I think. I need to look at it some more....(its not as stunning as Miss Bea's was)...

Not just you Peg. Somethings missing

I thought so too. The face looked like it ended too abruptly towards the bottom, but it's really difficult to tell without a reference picture. That and I don't know anything about art so don't take my word for it! But something about the face / chin area looked funny to me.

This is the reference which was used. It was of Puck as a younger rabbit.

Half the photos I was sent I considered unusable as references because of the degree of the wry neck. I would prefer to draw happy bunnies...or at least happy looking bunnies. I am sure Puck is happy enough.

The quality of the reference photos does have some impact on the finished product.

Since you are not completely happy with your portrait Peg I will give you the commission fee back and remove the picture from both lolbunnies.com and deviantart.

I endeavor to bring happiness :)

That is a tough one. I just got a look at the reference photo, and the artwork looks accurate now that I can compare. Sorry, bunnycute, I hope I didn't offend you with my comment! :?

It is ok. It was a stressful situation for me because I felt odd about using the wry neck references and I was limited in the other ones and Puck was younger.

But I am in the process of returning the commission fee.

Oh - I'm only now catching back up to this thread...sorry about that guys.

To be honest with you - I wasn't trying to sound critical. I've shared with the folks on the forum all of the artwork I've had done of my bunnies.....and I liked the photo of Puck. It wasn't quite what I expected - I'm not sure why - but after I posted - I was looking at it and noticed Puck's photo in my avatar flash by and noticed how much the picture you did looked like him.

Sorry you feel like you need to remove his photo from deviantart, etc. as I was planning on ordering a mug and a picture once payday hit....oh well....

It looks like I may have made it to deviant art before the picture got taken down....'cause I was able to order a mug of Puck along w/ Miss Bea's mug and a picture of her (I decided to go with 8 X 10).

Good think I like to drink lots of coffee. I ordered both pictures on black mugs....

I'm soooo excited

I think part of what surprised me about the photo was I'd forgotten how Puck looked when he was young. But if you watch my avatar flash by and look at the artwork - it caught him really well at that age. It is hard to remember him way back then.

I sure do miss my Puck....it will be nice to have the mug to remember him by since I didn't take many pictures of him while he was with us.

Now y'all know why I always preach, "Take pictures, take pictures...".

Well I am glad you liked it ok. Ijust did not want anyone to pay fora productthey were not happy with:)

I never started doing this with the intention of upsetting anybody. The siteis called 'LOL' bunnies and all of it is intended as silly, cute amusement and maybe make a bit of critter art for a reasonable price.

lolbunny, I love your work and can't wait to see Tallulah's! Is she up next? Puck's portrait looks really cute to me, I'm sure the Puck Mug will be one of Peg's favorites :) I know I'm looking forward to having a Tallulah mug too :biggrin2:

I think this is where it losses something for me. To me Ringo and Puck are no less happier than another bun with out tilt. I wanted my Apple because of her tilt. Because it is part of who they are and makes them no less as active and as happy than my others. :biggrin2:puck I knew as a head-tilt bunny, I didn't see him young.

Looking at the referance photo it does match.
