Pooping in sleeping area?

My new rabbit has been going poop in his haybox area it seemed to be just one corner so I put his litterbox there he went in there but also kept pooping in his hay box. I completely cleaned it out and moved the litterbox to the new part of his indoor run. He went there but is still going in his haybox! Does anyone know how to stop this?

Bunnies like to poop and eat hay at the same time, so it would be best if you could make the haybox so that he can't sit in it, and put it near his litterbox. Alternatively, you can put some hay in his litterbox and hope he eats that. I put a small box of hay next to one litterbox--it's an old loaf pan--and put hay in the other one. They can't fit in the loaf pan well, so they don't go in there and poop.
