ray: First of I'd like to start by saying that everyday I thank what ever higher powers brought me and Howl together! (Some days I curse them too... lol)
I took Howl in at 6 weeks (early because his mum was struggling to keep her big litter fed). He was the runt of the litter nearly half the size of his brothers and sisters the only butterfly too. At 6 months old now I still worry that he is too scrawny but he's bright eyed full of beans and not at all of fear.
There've been many times when my heart has leaped out of me because I'd though he was injured, having fallen from great heights (he loves to climb) been crushed by something he'd pushed over, been kicked or stood on one too many times.... JEESH now I sound terrible but he really gets into everything and always has to be under/beside you.
I'm a first timer so a lot about him in general perplexes me!I honestly never knew owning a house rabbit could be so stressful! He's like a 2 year old and no forum or article could have prepared me for him...
(I must try and get a picture of him clinging 1 meter high on a vertical brick wall for you to understand his insane acrobatics...)
After eating linoleum, pulling up carpet and peeling paint of the walls the concept of a bunny proof living room seems completely unattainable for us... He now has his own 'bedroom' which consists of a pimped out ex-sauna (it's okay... it really doesn't work anymore!) He loves his astro-turf and billion toys.
I now know him well enough to know what he likes to do with his spare time (mostly chewing and peeling things) and if running around like a turbo charged remote control car means he is happy well I'd say he's deliriously happy.
And when he is happy I feel like a better person! Funny how looking after something precious can do that for you.
Anyhow we're both happy to meet you all. Hopefully you can help us learn more about each other
