the one the rabbits are in now is well.. going to the dogs no matter how hard i try to keep it up.

so my mum has decide to build a hutch.
please tell her not to make it from wood which is harmful to rabbits, so please list the dos and donts.
what size should a hutch be for 2 dwarf lop ears and any thing else.:)

thanks, im now going to read some other threads in here to see if they answer some questions.

Maybe it from untreated wood, then paint with a paint that says its safe for rabbits.

Use roofing felt not just on the top but all round the sides too for added protection.

What would probably be lovely for yours is a two storey hutch that is maybe 6ft long, 2ft deep and 2ft high on each level.

OR a hutch joined to a run, like a 6ft by 2ft by 2ft hutch with a ramp that goes down to a nice big run underneath :D

I have to just run somewhere but is that a good start?

yep!
the old hutch is protected on all sides except the frount with tarpulin ao ill use it.
so use any wood aslong as its untreated and its safe for rabbits to gnaw on?
tahnks so much for the measure ments
