We all have horror stories form pet stores. So I figured we could all rant and rave about them here/So post your pet store (or from breeders or classifeids as well) here and get all your steam out. (sorry if something like this has already been posted)

Okey one I havewas while ago at this pet store there was this lop baby maybe 4 weeks. He was bald on his head and an infeceted eye and was in a cage were he could barley move.ANd all the other animals were sick and in really bad condtions.Luckly with in a month the place was closed down.

So come on all time to share!

Not really horror but sad.

I live near a shopping center. There is a petstore that I go to fairly often. I mostly go to look at things have havent bought anything there in a while. They sell dogs, cats, bunnys, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, mice, degu, ferret, chinchilla, birds, fish, reptiles. Pretty much everything.

A few months ago they had some lionheads and angoras. One of the lionhead was my favourate and he wasnt getting adapted quickly. He was there for maybe a month and I visited he as often as I could. He was eventually adopted.

A few weeks ago he was back. I guess he was returned because someone didnt understand the full responsibility of a bunny. He was for sale with cage and accessories. I picked him up to cuddle and his nails were way to long and he was not well socialised (sp?). I would have brought him home but I dont support pet stores i that way, he was too expensive, I dont have room and I alreadt have 2.

About a week after he came back he was gone. I can only assume that he went to a good home.

At the same store, they have buns and guinea pigs in the same store, they dont seperate sexes for all species (like gerbils).

EDIT

I was there about an hour ago and they had some baby bunnies. They could not have been olde than 4 weeks. They were so small. I have never seen bunnies that small there before.
