Few months ago, I posted this:

http://www.rabbitsonline.net/view_topic.php?id=51185&forum_id=48&jump_to=698796#p698796

My female mini-lop dumbo, is peeing and pooing outside of her litter tray. She has
always had a tiny problem with pooing in the litter box, but I mean rabbit poo has
never really been an issue for me so I just let it slide. But starting a few months ago
she won't stop peeing around the house.

It started with peeing next to or near her litter tray, but now it has escalated to the
area where I put their hay, as well as under the dining table.

Someone on my previous post said she might have had UTI, but when I brought her
to the vet, the vet said that if she was to have UTI she would be a lot more
distressed, which might effect her eating, which she has no problem doing...

However Dumbo drinks a TON of water, when compared to Latte my other rabbit
.
Their water cup has to be refilled at least 3-4 times a day, compared to the 1-2 refills
back in the day. So this might be some sort of symptom she's displaying here, or it
might just be because dumbo is a lot thirstier since it is summer here in Australia after all

So sorry about the long post but I wanted to explain my situation in detail ><!

Also let me just add that they're both indoor rabbits and are
never subjected to outdoor weather conditions. If it is a hot
day in the apartment we turn on the air con for them. Dumbo
and Latte both share 3/4 of a cup of timothy hay pellots
(oxbox) and gets timothy hay whenever they finish the hay in
their hay area.

They get 24/7 access around my living room, which is rabbit
proofed as best as I can, to give them some space to run
around. Latte is also a female mini lop, also spayed, but
she does not have ANY problems what so ever with peeing or
pooing in the litter box. I

I really don't like your vet's answer - I've heard of plenty of bunnies with UTIs that aren't yet in distress. I think you can catch it early, and I would want to catch it now rather than when she's not eating and it's a real issue.

If it were me, I would get a second opinion.

thanks ill request for another vet when i go to my vet clinic

could there be any other reasons as to why dumbo is doing
this? the vet also mentioned that it could be because dumbo
is the passive bunny, and latte is the dominant one. So is it
possible that she isn't comfortable with peeing in the same
litter tray?

I guess it's possible. It couldn't hurt to spend a few bucks on a new litter box to find out. Much cheaper than vet bills! I haven't had a bonded pair though so I'm not sure how likely this is.
