Peanut hay?

Is peanut hay an ok treat for rabbits?

Peanut hay is very similar to alfalfa hay in nutritional value. I personally wouldn't use it for adult rabbits except for an occassional small treat. Alfalfa gives my adult bunnies squashy poop so I would steer clear of peanut hay.

Ok, thanks. I think I'll leave it in the plastic bad where it is. It attracts the bunnies and makes noise if they somehow escape, great distraction so they don't get the cords before I can get them, lol.

We have it in the US south. Is it grown in Oz? Hee's some info on perennial peanut hay

I don't know if we grow it here or not...i have never heard of it until Aina posted this,i will check it out though if we do have it or not...i'm just very curious now.

Wow that's interesting....i just cannot believe that i have never heard of peanut hay before.
