Patches usually has yellow-orange urine. But i saw a different color twice the past few days. It's like a redish orange. It kind of looks like bloody urine but i'm thinking it's just because he's been out a lot lately so he doesn't go into his cage much to get a drink. so could it just be that he didn't drink enough water so the urine was dark?

Steph,
The boards are usually slower at this time but someone should be along soon to answer your question. Here are some previous threads and some threads from the library that may give you some more information.

Hopefully someone more experienced will be along soon to answer your questions.

Did you feed him something different?
There are lots of different photosynthetic pigments in plants and if you change up the veggies, different pigments are excreted in the urine which can make it range from a yellow to even a red color.

If there is blood in the urine it'll usually appear as blood within the urine rather than the whole puddle of urine being the same color.

It's also possible that it is more or less concentrated depending on his water consumption. You can check to see if he is dehydrated by pinching up his skin. If it stays up that's a sign he's dehydrated. If it falls right back into place, he's not.

You can always leave a dish of water out for him where you let him out to play.

missyscove has pretty much said it all.

Have you changed his diet recently? Or added something to his diet?

Also, was it older or was it fresh? Often urine looks darker when it's older.

I'm sorry no one replied to you sooner earlier today but please be patient. In this forum in particular you will ALWAYS get a response (although obviously, we always aim to give a response to all threads) but at different times of the day it can be slower, or faster, so sit tight and someone will reply :)

Itmight just be something he ate.

If it is something sinister then generally you will be seeing other signs by the time you're getting solid blood, so watch for other signs too if you are worried.
