Odd possesivness of shirt

So, James had worked and was a bit sweaty and took of his shirt that smelled strongly of himself. He threw it on the floor, and Chewbacca ran to it, and started licking it!

She kept at it and kept at it, and when James went to reach down she would nip him (gently) like to get him away from the shirt!

Haha it was hilarious, by why the odd possesivness of the shirt? Any suggestions?

animals are instinctive,,the rabbit was reacting to excreted hormones,-(feramones.sp.)-,we do the same thing without thinking--marriages are based on this ,,-we either like some-ones smell or we don,t stick around/-believe it or not...sincerely james waller:scared::biggrin::thumbup

Chop does the same thing over Davids clothes!!

David is only here half the week and works away the rest of the time and Chop misses him so much he has one of David's tops when he is away. It's not overly sweaty or anything just one that smells of him and when I'm sat on the sofa with Chop he nestles into the top and licks away.

I'd always assumed it was that he knows David's scent and coz he is that bonded to him he will just kiss away even though it's only a tshirt!
It's so cute to watch and he has been known to drag the tshirt round with him and take it into his cage to sleep.
It's quite the bromance they have going on - complete with a little love dance when David comes home.
