Oat groat

I friend of mine gave me some oat groats the other day, she said that she gives them to her bunnies as treats (about a tablespoon or so). I also gave some to my bunnies and they loved them a lot. I heard that oat groats are good for the digestive system, but I'm not sure how much I should give them (I don't want to give them too much and upset their stomach or something).
So my questions are: Are Oat groats good as treats? If so how much?:expressionless
