Not a good day for the rescue.

Ok so we get a call... Several bunnies found dead and one bunny caught in Twin Brooks Park in Trumbull by Trumbull AC. The bunnies were soaked (recent thunderstorms) at least one had been hit by a car. No idea if they were dumped dead or what.They later caught two more (I believe) and believe to be four more loose.My friend gave me permission to post pictures.

Trumbull girl bunny 1. Bunny caught at Twin Brooks Park in Trumbull by Trumbull AC. We pulled & vetted today, 6/26.

Trumbull girl Bunny 2 - Also caught in Twin Brooks Park. We are looking for help to pull her from the shelter and get her cleaned up. Friendly, but shy.

Trumbull boy bunny. The third bunny caught in Twin Brooks Park. Found a place for him, and is being pulled from the shelter tomorrow, 6/27.

Sometimes I wonder about my fellow humans. I can't even imagine the suffering these poors bun endured.

I'm so sorry about these poor bunnies. I hope that they get rehabbed and healthy again soon. This is so sad.

Things are not good. The count for the dead is at 13, I won't post what my friends saw. I am trying to help them cope with all this. The boy right now is in really bad shape. The vets are suggesting he be pts.

They are so beautiful, JadeIcing. I love the way humans keep a positive and outreach caregiver vibe, and do what they can to help jeopardized bunnies. The pictures ... gives you a realtime visual. Thanks again for stepping up with support.

Please send updates when you can. Myself and the bunnies in bunny-land (as kherrmann calls us) will think positive for their complete recovery and adoption!

This little blue-eyed baby would be in foster with me if I lived in that area....

I agree they are more than an unwanted litter. They have been living in bad conditions long enough to get sores and urine burns. Poor little kids...
