Since Dunkin & Amber perfectly spent their few days with their cage doors open sharing a x-pen, I decided today was the day to make their beast of a NIC cage! It was quite a task... lots of sitting in the cage bent over and having to bend into weird positions... BUT - I'm finished and it only took an hour because all I had to do was combine their two cages.
Their cage is now a 2x6 and they absolutely love it! You can see that I left a one grid wide by two grid high section in the middle for the hay racks, extra stability, and for the litter boxes. Behind the litter boxes towards the back there is nothing, so it's like a hallway. That way they can also take a break from each other if they need to. It's hard to get it all in the photo. The coroplast towards the top of the picture is the Guinea Pigs, big time space saver.
