My name is Toya and my mum got me an English Angora for christmas. He is the best pet ive ever had and we have a lot of pets! Its hard for him to bind with me though as i have two houses to move between and spend a week at each. Do you think he will still bond with me as much as my mum because she is always with him?

Dudley Herimen Barton Carter is the best addition to the family yet!

Congratulations on your new bunny! He is very pretty.
I also have the same problem you face. I go to school in another city and am only able to make it home on the weekends. My mom takes care of them when I am not there. Certain bunnies that we have are more friendly towards my mom and will hop right up to her for a head scratch while they would run to the back of the cage to me. It doesn't bother me too much until I take them to a show. It's just something that I have learned to deal with But if your bunny has a lovable personality then you might not have to worry about it.

Congrats on the bunny!!

I think it is still possible - it might take a little longer, but if you spend a lot of time with the bunny to still gain his trust, it could be just fine :)

welcome toya - your bunny looks adorable in your avatar picture! i'm sure you'll be fine - i travel quite a lot alot - but i can be sure my bunny always greets me when I come home, so I'm sure you'll be fine :)

Awwww congrats on your new bunny! You've had good advice :) all you need to do is build your bunnies trust :) and also your bunny is gorgeous we need more pictures :-D

Let me welcome you to Rabbits Online, my name is Dave and I am a moderator on the forum. So if I can be of any help please let me know. This is a terrific website for rabbits and their slaves, not only is it very active but also friendly. I am so glad you’re here and I know you will enjoy it.

I’ve listed some links I thought you might find interesting:

*For reference the Library section

*To brag or tell everyone about the antics of your bunny or just to talk about your day here is where to start a Bunny Blog, you can also look back at it later and remember when you had a life before your bunny.

*Now all the bunny’s like talk to each other when we mere slaves aren’t around in the Bunny Chat is the spot to be.

*Rabbits Online also has regional forums , this a good way to find a vet in your area that has experience with rabbits and to find out from other nearby of good sources of rabbit supplies.

The Let Your Hare Down section is for anything non-bunny related.

Now every forum has rules and ours can be found with this link Rabbits Online Forum Rules. This gives guidelines on what is acceptable, what is not and how we hope everyone will treat each other.

In your profile there is a place for location. There is no rule requiring you to list the city you live in, but if you can give a general region, country, state, what part of a state or country you live in is helpful. This will give others an idea and can offer more specific help if needed.

Everyone on this forum loves to see pictures of each other’s bunnies. So if you would like to post a picture this link will help you do that, How to put photo's in your posts.

This the best site on the web for bunnies and I look forward to hearing stories and looking at pictures of your rabbit.

hehehe he is quite adorable :p he gets along very well with all our other animals aswell. he loves hoping around with our baby wallabies and likes to ignore our dogs attempt to play chasey - hes too cool for that :p we take him for walks on a harness now and he loves exploring and eating lots of new grasses. he eats so much grass! and dry hay he also loves. he has a hay weel that he likes to play with and we give him lucon pellets and cracked corn plus lots of chopped vegies! he certainly eats alot but he is a growing bunny!

we are still trying to create a permanent house for him because at the moment he lives in a large pen with a big housie in it for him in our lounge room. he loves hopping around while we watch tv though. he also likes getting in the fire place and putting soot everywhere!

absolutely adorable bunny you have!!!!!!
and thats awesome that you have wallabies--send one over :)

and like Dave said, cracked corn in a bad idea..

AHH! okay thank you so much i dont want him to get sick :( is normal corn okay? or none at all? Should i feed him oats instead or something like that?

OH and do you know of anything that you can spray on things that bunnies wont like so they dont pee there? he likes this one little spot on the couch. he is usually very good and is well trained to go to his littler box but sometimes he is a bit naughty.

I would not give corn at all. Sorry, I am not familiar with products that discourage rabbits from peeing on things.

I use puppy training pads in areas where my rabbits tend to want to mark etc. I find them very effective.
